Central Railway Station (also known as Sydney Terminal) is located at the southern end of the Sydney CBD and is the largest railway station in Australia. It services on all of the lines on the Sydney Trains network (except for the T5 Cumberland Line), and is the major terminus for interurban and interstate rail services. Sydney Trains also has a number of offices in the station. It sits beside Railway Square and is officially located in Haymarket. The present location at Haymarket was opened on 4 August 1906, designed by Government Architect Walter L. Vernon and construction took just over two years to complete. The present building is photogenic with an eye-catching architecture and a 75-meter clock tower in the classic style.
